We now have a functioning washer and dryer thanks to Grant’s dad and Doug. They are amazing and I can’t believe we can actually do our own laundry again. OH HAPPY DAY!! I love laundromats, but I also like not having to solely rely on them. People keep saying, “having your own Washer and Dryer is part of growing up,” but I guess growing up also means you’re either renting a house or you own one. . . so does this mean Grant and I are grown ups now?
Pffft…. hardly . . . although we do have a dishwasher too.
The dryer had to get a three prong pigtail put on it, rather than the 4 prong already on it because we live in an ancient house and it isn’t wired for four prongs. I love how they’re called pigtails. So weird. Whatever, Doug wired it up and now things work.
The big test now (and it’s currently running) is to see how the washer does with its spinning cycle. We might have to relevel the sucker. As long as it washes our clothing. . . it can move a bit, but I don’t need it doing laps in the utility room. No siree.
I cannot wait to have clean clothing again and then put it away in our nice new dresser.
Maybe we really are growing up. . .we have . .uh. . .furniture!!! IT’S AMAZING. Our house looks like it actually has things in it, rather than being an evil echoing place of wood floors. But now we need to clean it . . . mop, vacuum, etc. Not going to enjoy that, but c’est la vie. We have guests that arrive on Tuesday, and I want this place looking a tiny bit better by then. *thunk*
