It’s been a pretty crazy uh…. 10 months? Geez, I need to write more on here.
Grant and I got a Long Haired German Shepherd puppy in January, Percy finally started swatting him when he was 7 months old. He’s almost 10 months now and about 85 lbs. He’s stunning, but still too spazzy to really feel 110% comfy with him all the time. He sleeps through the night (woohoo!!), doesn’t chew on the cat too much, loves being outside and running around and has caught a bird in mid-flight but dropped it when I told him too.
Percy has semi-adjusted to him. He’s still too interested in her for her to be ‘normal,’ but she curls up with me at night and snuggles down for a good long sleep. She touches noses with Bacca and tries to be his friend before he drools all over her neck and shoulder blades. Poor thing.
In April, Grant asked me to marry him. I said yes (duh) and we’re getting married next week. Yeah, I know. . . 6 months to plan for a wedding. Actually, we didn’t start planning until June. So far flowers are the only thing left that we need to sort out. Our cake will the most amazing thing EVER. . . at least the cake toppers will. Still need to pick ‘our song’ and the ‘Daddy-Daughter Dance’ song. *sigh* My dad arrives tomorrow, we’ll do the D&D song then. I’m banning him from using opera.
Side note: Bacca is at the top of the stairs sleeping with his head falling off the edge onto the next step. Winston used to sleep like that too on his bed: head on the floor, body on the bed. I miss my Winston pup!!
Speaking of “top of the stairs,” we have moved. We started moving last week to a house with a yard. Bacca is so happy to have a yard. He has dug 3 holes (which I need to fill back up today) and flings his favorite toy around and then drops it in his water bowl. I need to wash that KONG Wubba.
That’s my fast recap of the past 10 months. . .
Except, I also got to go back out in the field. Yay…… we drove to Eastern Montana. I’m not talking Billings. . I mean those 200 miles EAST of Billings. We went from Fort Peck/Glasgow to Wolf Point and then down to Ekalaka, Alzada and finally over by Hardin (we went to The Battle of Little Big Horn — Custer, you were stupid) and then up to Roundup and finally back over to Billings and home.
